Wendy Faith Laymon says that while house training your French Bulldog puppy there are several options. One option for your little Frenchie is paper-training. Yet another option would be to crate train your Frenchie.

Some city residents do not have access to take their French Bulldog puppy outdoors to “go potty” and will need to paper train their Frenchie inside the home. Here is a suggestion of how this can be accomplished.

Wendy Laymon says to choose an enclosed area in the bathroom or kitchen or laundry room (any floor with an easy to clean surface) and cover the entire floor with a vinyl shower curtain and the cover the curtain with newspapers or puppy house-training pads. When your Frenchie puppy eliminates, replace the dirty paper or pads with clean paper or pads.

After a few days, place less paper or pads down, leaving some of the floor bare. If your Frenchie puppy eliminates on the bare floor in front of you, according to Wendy Laymon, gently correct him/her and place him/her back on the paper and praise your little Frenchie.

Wendy Laymon recommends to gradually reduce the amount of floor space covered by the paper until you have just a small spot for elimination. Then, as he learns to hold it longer, you will be able to take your Frenchie outside three or four times a day to conclude the house training.

TIP from Wendy Laymon: Clean up the little Frenchie messes with white vinegar to get rid of the smell. That way the little Frenchie puppy will not return to the same spot.
